Consent

We may rely on your consent for:

  • Non-essential analytics cookies and similar technologies
  • Email subscriptions
  • Particular marketing communications

Vital interests and public-interest grounds

In limited circumstances, we may process information to protect a person’s vital interests or carry out a task supported by applicable public-interest law.

Where consent is required, non-essential analytics will not be activated until you choose to accept them. You may reject non-essential cookies or change your preferences through the Cookie Settings link available on the website.

Withdrawing consent will not necessarily delete information lawfully collected before withdrawal, but it will prevent the relevant technologies from collecting new information through your browser where technically possible.

More information about individual cookies, providers, purposes and retention periods should be provided in Adecore’s Cookie Notice.

6. Marketing communications

We may send professional communications where:

  • You have asked to receive them
  • You have consented to receive them
  • They relate to an existing professional relationship and applicable law permits the communication

You may unsubscribe through the link contained in a communication or by contacting us. Service-related or legally required communications may continue where necessary even if you opt out of marketing.

Service providers may process personal information only for authorised purposes and subject to applicable contractual, confidentiality and security obligations.

Adecore does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

8. International transfers

Adecore operates across multiple jurisdictions and may use international service providers. Personal information may therefore be accessed from or transferred to countries outside the country in which it was collected.

Those countries may include:

  • Australia
  • Ghana
  • Singapore

Where required, Adecore will use recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual, technical or organisational safeguards. These may include adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms permitted under applicable law.

No statement about international transfer safeguards should be published until Adecore has verified the hosting, analytics, email and form-processing supply chain.

9. Information security

Adecore uses reasonable administrative, organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, interference, alteration or disclosure.

These measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption, system monitoring, confidentiality obligations, supplier review, backup and incident-response processes.

Access is limited to people and providers who require the information for a legitimate and authorised purpose.

No system is completely secure. Adecore cannot guarantee that unauthorised access or disclosure will never occur. If a data breach occurs, we will investigate and provide notifications where required by applicable law.

10. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Fulfil the purpose for which it was collected
  • Maintain an active professional or commercial relationship
  • Meet contractual, legal, tax and regulatory obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Establish or defend legal rights
  • Maintain proportionate security and audit records

Retention periods depend on the nature and sensitivity of the information, the relationship involved, the risks associated with continued retention and applicable legal requirements.

When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it, subject to lawful archival and backup requirements.

Adecore should maintain an internal retention schedule setting actual periods for contact enquiries, analytics information, client records, consent records and system logs.

11. Sensitive and health information

Adecore does not intend to collect health information or other sensitive personal information through its general website contact form.

Please do not submit medical records, diagnoses, patient information or other protected health information through the general website.

Where Adecore is engaged by a healthcare organisation and acts as a business associate under HIPAA, protected health information will be handled under the applicable business associate agreement, contractual controls and dedicated privacy and security procedures.

Public website analytics will not knowingly be used to collect protected health information. Any future portal, form or application intended to handle protected health information must be separately assessed and configured before use.

A cookie banner or statement in this policy does not constitute a HIPAA authorisation.

12. Children’s information

Adecore’s website and services are intended for organisations, professionals and adult users. They are not directed towards children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. Your privacy rights

Your rights depend on the jurisdiction and circumstances involved. Subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

Adecore does not currently use website information to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect information from unauthorised disclosure.

Some requests may be refused or limited where permitted by law. If that occurs, we will provide an explanation where required.

14. Australian privacy rights and complaints

Where the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles apply, you may request access to or correction of the personal information Adecore holds about you.

If you believe Adecore has breached your privacy, please contact us with:

  • Your name and contact details
  • A description of your concern
  • Relevant dates or communications
  • The resolution you are seeking

We will acknowledge and investigate the complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable period.

If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may be entitled to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

15. European privacy rights

If the GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent.

You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in the European Economic Area country where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred.

If required by applicable law, Adecore will publish the contact details of its European representative or data-protection officer in this section.

16. GCC privacy rights

Privacy requirements across Gulf Cooperation Council countries arise under separate national laws rather than one GCC-wide PDPL.

Where the personal-data law of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait or another applicable jurisdiction governs our processing, Adecore will handle requests and personal information in accordance with that law.

Depending on the jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, services or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on this page with its effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required.
